About the Greenaway Pro:

Held this year on the 18th-21st August 2010 at Porthmeor beach in St Ives Cornwall, the Greenaway Pro is a surf and music event held in memory of Tom Greenaway… The aim of the Greenaway Pro Surf/Bodyboarding events is that it brings surf communities together – to compete, party and honour – in the name of Tom Greenaway.

“Tom was a Body boarder and a very good one at that, the idea is that the event runs in the way that Tom would have liked, he would have entered and had a bloody good time in doing so. Whether he won or not would not have mattered to him” – www.greenawaypro.co.uk

The first Greenaway pro was held in Sept 2009. UK’s top Surfers and Bodyboarders came together to compete in the event and celebrate during a weekend of surfing and music. All proceeds from the event go to the charities closest to Tom’s heart.

Locals and visitors (from as far away as South Africa and Australia) came together making for an incredible vibe and unique atmosphere. Ending with a sold-out after-party the GreenawayPro became a memorable event of 2009 in its first year! The Greenaway Pro is a non-profit event and was named fundraiser of the year by Surfers Against Sewage.
